Manifesto Tracker: Analysis Ahead of the 2024 General Election

Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has signalled that a general election will be held in the second half of 2024, telling regional ITV news that an election will not be held on 2nd May 2024. Whilst official manifestos are unlikely to be unveiled until the election date has been called and the campaign is underway, the Labour Party, which started the election year with a commanding lead in the opinion polls, has already set out plans and ambitions across a range of policy areas to show it is a government in waiting.

Meanwhile, the Conservatives have continued to stress that they are determined to deliver on their stated policies. Sunak has outlined his government’s priorities, including growing the economy, raising education standards, and stopping migrants crossing the English Channel in small boats. The Conservatives have also set out policy plans in various areas beyond the current parliament.

This report by Dods Political Consultants provides a detailed comparison of what the two main parties are promising ahead of the upcoming election. Regular updated trackers will be released as we head into the election.
