Slovenian Presidency of the Council of the EU

Slovenia took up the rotating Presidency of the Council of the European Union on July 1st and will be presiding until the end of December 2021. Its programme was published under the motto “Together. Resilient. Europe”. Slovenia has confirmed that, in line with the Trio Presidency Programme, the key priorities of its Presidency are:

• Facilitating the EU’s recovery and reinforcing its resilience
• A reflection on the future of Europe
• The strengthening of the rule of law and European values
• Increasing security and stability in the European neighbourhood.
