The Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Bill (DMCC) is now re-entering the House of Commons for its final consideration of the Lords Amendments. With important changes affecting digital businesses, and a wealth of new regulations for online platforms, it’s set out to enhance customer protection and safeguard consumer rights.
The Bill was introduced to Parliament in April 2023, with the stated aim to “ensure businesses and consumers are protected from rip-offs and can reap the full benefits of the digital economy with confidence”.
